The third in a series of Community Conversations has been scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Putnam County Public Library, 102 E. Poplar St.

The free public program will feature Greencastle Community School Corporation (GCSC) Superintendent Jeff Hubble, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Donovan Garletts and School Board President Mike White.

Hubble became GCSC superintendent just over a year ago in September 2016 after serving as assistant superintendent for three years. He previously served as a principal at Brownsburg West Middle School, Ben Davis Junior High School, McFarland Environmental Studies Academy, Independence Middle/High School and Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center.

Donovan Garletts

Garletts is a new addition to the Greencastle school community. He was hired as the assistant superintendent in the spring of this year and most recently was the principal at Notre Dame Elementary/Middle School in Michigan City.

GCSC School Board President White is serving his second four-year term and was appointed to the board by the Greencastle Township trustee. He is employed at Buzzi Unicem USA as a chemist.

The Community Conversation series is sponsored by the Greencastle League of Women Voters, the Putnam County Public Library and the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce. The goal of this new continuing program is to give the community an opportunity to hear from and speak to their elected and appointed government officials.

Mike White

The initial Community Conversations session this fall involved Greencastle City Council members Adam Cohen and Stacie Langdon, while the second program featured Putnam County Commissioner Rick Woodall.
