GFD appreciates open house supporters

To the Editor:

The Greencastle Fire Department would like to extend a special “Thanks” to the following supporters who contributed to the 17th annual Open House Event on Oct. 5.

We had a huge success this year. The winners of the coloring, poster and art contests were recognized with ages ranging from pre-K to 12th grade. Everyone in attendance enjoyed great food, games, bounce house, free face painting/glitter tattoos, entertainment from Patches the Pumper, and fire prevention education through our “Smokehouse” experience, station tours and turnout gear demos.

The success of this event could not have been possible without the generosity of those involved.

Thank you again to everyone for supporting our efforts to educate our community to protect lives and safeguard property.

Supporters included Greencastle Elks Lodge, Chiyoda, Ashley Square Cinema, Banner Graphic, Big Bounce Fun House, Big Splash Adventure, Burger King Restaurant, Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Conner Prairie, Creation Museum, Eitel’s Flowers and Gifts, Family Video, Friends of the Greencastle Fire Department, First National Bank, Grateful Pie, Greattimes Family Fun Park, Greencastle Parks & Recreation, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, Indianapolis Indians, Kings Island, Kroger, McDonalds, Mill Pond Health Campus, Monical’s Pizza, Monster Mini Golf, Myers Market, New Hope Fellowship, North Salem State Bank, Papa John’s Pizza, Putnam County Playhouse, Service Master of Greencastle, Sky Zone Plainfield, Squire Boone Caverns, Subway (Estep), Teachers Credit Union, Terre Haute Children’s Museum, The Cheesecake Factory, uPaint Pottery Studio, Wal-Mart Supercenter , WonderLab
