Sheriff’s Department

A Reelsville woman was arrested following a recent property-damage crash.

At 9:05 p.m. on Monday, Donna Louise Branam, 59, Reelsville, was westbound on County Road 300 South in a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche.

The vehicle slid through the intersection at County Road 25 West, hitting a telephone pole. Deputy Jeffery Freeman said Branam then went southbound another half mile before leaving the road again and hitting a fence post.

Branam then reportedly fled the scene but returned 15 minutes later.

In his investigation, Freeman found Branam to be under the influence of methaphetamine. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident.

She also admitted she did not have auto insurance.

Branam was arrested following her release from Putnam County Hospital and booked in the jail at 12:18 a.m. on Tuesday.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

Sheriff’s deputies investigated a pair of other recent crashes.

• At 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, Adam J. England-Maynard, 20, Fillmore, was westbound on County Road 25 North just east of County Road 225 East in a 1997 Honda Civic.

England-Maynard told Lt. Donnie Pettit his rear driver’s side tie rod broke as he rounded a curve, causing him to lose control. The car left the north side of the road and went up an embankment, causing it to roll over.

No injuries were reported.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

• At 10:13 a.m. on Sunday, Lindsey M. Glover, 24, Cloverdale, had pulled into the driveway at 707 S. Lafayette St., Cloverdale, in a 2011 Buick Lucerne.

Glover was at the location to drop off some packages.

Elizabeth DiCarlo, 67, Cloverdale, began to raise the garage door and back out.

Glover was pulled up in front of the garage door, so she began to back up. However, she could not avoid DiCarlo striking her car.
