Doris C. Williams, 84, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Darlington House.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1933 in Greencastle, Ind., to Everett and Madonna (Mason) Elmore.

She married Gordon "Dale" Williams on June 11, 1951 and together they raised three daughters. They were married for more than 66 years.

She worked as a church secretary, retiring from her last job at the Toledo YMCA.

She was a long-time member of Bible Study Fellowship and over the years was a member, discussion leader and pianist. She was a faithful prayer warrior for many of her family and friends.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, travel, genealogy research and taking their Shiitzhu to visit friends in nursing homes. She would let neighborhood children learn to play on her piano and never charged. She will be remembered for her love of family, service to others and her steadfast faith.

Doris is survived by her loving husband Dale; daughters Sherrie (David) Humphrey, Colleen (Keith) Fawcett and Rhonda (Brad) Ross; grandchildren Heather (Kevin) Radzinski , Mark (Melani) Humphrey, Todd (Brittany) Humphrey, Emily (Adam) Lum and Tyler (Courtney) Southard ; great-grandchildren Emma and Connor Humphrey, Marina, Mallory, Maggie and Matilda (Tillie) Humphrey; Jonah, Macrina and Theophan Lum; Abbe and James Radzinski; Eli and Chloe Southard and various other relatives and friends, including Pat Haltom, her best childhood friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, younger brother Roy Elmore and grandson Brett Frizzell.

Family and friends may gather at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Ohio, on Thursday, Dec. 28 from 3-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Washington Church, 3925 W. Central Ave., Toledo, on Friday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
