Irmgard Margot Murray

Monday, January 15, 2018

With the deepest pain conceivable, we announce the passing of Irmgard Margot Murray, our dear Madre, our queen, our tiger. May 28, 1938-Dec. 27, 2017.

At 79, she was taken too soon. She was the beloved wife of John Thomas Murray (1926-2011) and cherished mother of Karen Murray.

Irmgard Murray and her family experienced dreadful hardship in Germany during and after World War II. In spite of adversity, Irmgard was a high achiever who, as a student, was always at the top of her class. In her pursuit of more achievements, in her early 20s, she immigrated to the U.S.

Starting with nothing but her considerable determination and intelligence, she achieved great professional success, arriving at the highest level of international executive management, and she earned the respect and fondness of everyone who worked with her. She succeeded at anything she was asked or attempted to do from the arts to commerce.

Throughout her exemplary life and impressive career, she was a very hard worker who supported her husband and daughter and made many sacrifices for them.

She was a true animal lover and saved many animals' lives. She was always positive and optimistic. In contrast with her business acumen and personal strength, she had a childlike innocence, saw the best in people, and was soft-hearted. She had extraordinary joy for life, a deep love of nature, and she taught others to enjoy and appreciate life and the world and creatures around us. She was a most generous, compassionate and loving person who touched many and whose influence caused them to be better people. She will live in our hearts and be loved forever.

Donations to the Love Lions Alive sanctuary (Swinburne, South Africa) would honor her.

Irmgard's daughter can be contacted at Bambinaki@hotmail.com.

Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society of Central Florida was entrusted with arrangements.
