Dennis Lee Troth

Dennis Lee Troth, 76, of Greencastle, died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, of a cerebral hemorrhage at Putnam County Hospital.

Dennis was born in Lebanon on March 4, 1941, the son of Floyd and Helen Marie (Kettering) Troth and was a graduate of Speedway High School.

He earned his master’s degree in engineering from Purdue University in 1965.

Mr. Troth was a member of North Meadow Circle of Friends in Indianapolis, and was a 30-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elaine Troth; a daughter, Dr. Leszlie Woodyard and her two children, T. J. and Eli Woodyard, all of Athens, Georgia; a son, J. T. Troth and wife Kim of Sugarland, Texas; a brother, Jack Troth and wife Sandy of Dale; a brother-in-law, Mike Garrison and wife-Trena of Florissant, Mo.; an aunt; an uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Karen Stover.

The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
