Girls' sectional pairings announced

Pairings have been made for the Indiana High School Athletic Association girls' basketball state tournament, which begins at 64 sites on Jan. 30.

North Putnam will play the host Cadets in its first girls' Class 2A sectional game at Cascade.

Cloverdale will meet Western Boone in the first round, and the winner will play South Putnam.

Greencastle's first-round opponent in the Crawfordsville 3A sectional is Lebanon, with the winner meeting Southmont in the semifinals.

Both tournaments will be played with the first round games on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the semifinals on Friday, Feb. 2 and the championship games on Saturday, Feb. 3.

7:30 p.m. - Western Boone (8-12) vs. Cloverdale (16-4)

Friday, Feb. 2

7:30 p.m. - South Putnam (15-5) vs. Western Boone-Cloverdale winner
