Thomas Berry, 68, Oak Grove, Ky., died at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2018, at his home of natural causes.

A native of Tangier, he was born Jan. 26, 1949, the son of the late John Arther Berry and Dorothy Grimes Rominger.

He was a plant operator at HWEA at Oak Grove Municipal.

Thomas was retired as a Sgt. 1st Class E-7 in the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam era. He was a member of the VFW No. 11160 and the American Legion No. 233.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Fought Berry; his brothers Garry Rominger, Dan Buchanan and Jim McCurry; and his daughters, Anita Berry and Edna Lopez.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathryn Pyeatte of Glasgow, Ky., and Yvonne Castleberry of Mount Hermon, Ky.; his son, Thomas Glenn Berry of Oak Grove; his brothers, John W. (Jeannie) Berry of Cloverdale, Donald (Kay) Berry of Oak Grove and Barry Rominger of Indiana; his sisters, Gloria (Ed) Christian of and Gail (Chris) Houser of Greenwood; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb Funeral Home, Hopksinville, Ky.

Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full military honors.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
