JESSICA COPELAND of Coatesville was recently named to the dean’s list at Maryville University for the fall 2017 semester.

A cybersecurity major, Copeland was among the students completing at least 12 credit hours with a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.


In recognition of academic performance, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at University of the Cumberlands (UC) has named KAELYNN ABNER of Bainbridge to the president’s list for the fall 2017 semester.

To be eligible for the president’s list, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 4.0, receive an “A” grade in UC Engage and be in good academic standing.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction offering quality undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and online degree programs.


Aurora University has named MIA STEVENS of Greencastle to the Dean’s List for the fall 2017 semester.

Stevens is majoring in exercise science, and was recognized for high honors, meaning she earned a perfect 4.0 for the semester.

Founded in 1893, Aurora University annually enrolls some 5,500 degree-seeking students at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels at its campuses in Aurora and Woodstock, Ill., and Williams Bay, Wis.


Nine Putnam County students were named to the Ball State University dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester.

Students who made the cut include SAMANTHA FLANNELLY, SYDNEY HARMON, LAURYN McCONNELL and ABIGAIL SKILLERN of Coatesville; CHRIS HITES of Roachdale; and RACHAEL LUBINSKI, ERIN MACE, JONAH SANDERS and JESSICA TUCKER.


Anderson University has announced its dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2017-2018 academic year.

Local resident KENLEE JOHNSON is among the students who are being recognized for their outstanding academic achievement.

Johnson is a sophomore at Anderson studying nursing.

Her parents are Toni Smith and Mike Johnson.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.
