Marion Francis Legrand

Marion Francis Legrand, 79, of Crawfordsville, passed away, Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born on June 13, 1938 in Bound Brooke, N.J., to the late Charles and Ada Mae (Hall) Casler.

On May 15, 1970 she married Fred L. Legrand Sr., and Fred passed away Feb. 16, 2012.

Marion was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, sewing, gardening, canning and baking were some of her favorite things to do. But more importantly, her family was her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Leonard Miller, Kenny Miller, Sara Waggoner, Mary Thrush, Christina Legrand and Rachel Brown; sister Patricia Allen; brother Melvin Casler; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Julia M. Cox, grandson Dalton Thrush and sisters Charolette (Penny) Furmanski, Loretta Garlewicz and Donna Gregg.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1981 Oak Hill Rd., Crawfordsville, with pastor Chris Hortin officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
