Ray Risner

Ray Risner, 86, of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 in Punta Gorda, Fla.

He was born Sept. 26, 1931 to Harden and Miranda (Brewer) Risner.

He is survived by his wife, Maryrose, and children Donna (Bob) Frantz, Kim Ritchie, Tony Risner, Pat (Karen) Risner, Michelle Risner, Eric (Amanda) Bullerdick and Christine (Jerome) Horsley. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harden and Miranda (Brewer) Risner; sisters Emma Chrisman and Sena Hays; brothers Lee, Harden Jr., Chet, Bill and Jerry Risner, as well as his son, Michael, and an infant grandson.

Ray was a 1949 graduate of Wingate High School.

He was a past master of Alamo Masonic Lodge 144 and the Order of Eastern Star in Crawfordsville.

Ray began his career with the Crawfordsville Police Department in 1958 and retired in 1981.

Ray started B & R Fire Protection in 1968 and it continues today.

Ray loved God, his family and his country. He enjoyed his life and the people he spent time with to the fullest. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Friends may visit with the family Friday, Feb. 2 from 3-7:30 p.m. with Masonic rites immediately following. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
