15-minute closures scheduled Tuesday on U.S. 40 in Hendricks County

If you're planning to take U.S. 40 through Hendricks County anytime Tuesday, it might be a wise idea to consider another route.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that U.S. 40 traffic will be stopped for approximately 15 minutes at numerous intervals on Tuesday, Feb. 6, beginning after 8 a.m.

Hendricks Power will be stringing new power lines across U.S. 40 between County Road 200 and 350 West, east of Stilesville and west of Belleville.

Traffic is expected to be stopped numerous times for the operation. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
