Junior County Champs

After defeating North Putnam 53-39 on its home court, the South Putnam junior varsity boys’ basketball team celebrates winning the Putnam County Tournament. Ty VanSickle led the Eagles with 17 points in the title game. South Putnam made it to the championship game with a 50-44 win over Greencastle in which Garrett Heavin had a team-high 16 points. Celebrating the victory are (from left) assistant coach Seth Hammond, Hayden Switzer, Branden Demoret, Garrett Heavin, Jackson Wood, Karl Egold, Ty VanSickle, Wyatt McGinnis, Trey Blades, Demetrius Leo, Dri Teipen, Brent Wiggins, Brandon Rector, coach Aaron Book and (not pictured) Nick Duggan.
