I-70 traffic stop yields four grams of suspected meth, marijuana and more
CLOVERDALE -- A 61-year-old Colorado woman was arrested on a variety of drug-related charges after a routine traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Interstate 70 in southwestern Putnam County.
At approximately 12:46, an Indiana State Police trooper from the Putnamville Post, stopped a gold 1993 Buick sedan for a headlight violation on eastbound I-70 near the 37-mile marker, four miles west of Cloverdale.
During conversations with the driver, Isabella Marie Wise of Colorado Springs, the trooper developed information that led to a search of the car.
Found throughout the interior of the Buick were approximately four grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 10 grams of suspected marijuana, assorted illegal drug smoking pipes and 20 empty prescription containers.
Wise was taken into custody and incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine (felony), possession of marijuana (misdemeanor), possession of paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and visiting a common nuisance (misdemeanor).
