Lewis E. Dunbar

Lewis E. Dunbar, 87, of Poland, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 16, 2018.

Born July 7, 1930 to the late Charles and Blanche (Anderson) Dunbar.

Lewis married Evelyn Uffman Jan. 5, 1980, and she preceded him in death in 2010.

He is also preceded in death by his son Floyd Newby; sister Esie Meagher; and son-in-law Les Schubert.

Lewis is survived by his daughters, Sharon L. Newby, Gwen Schubert and Brenda Shirrell; sons Ronald W. Dunbar, Lloyd Newby, Richard L. Dunbar and wife Debbie, Mark Newby and wife Melissa, Philip Dunbar, Paul A. Newby and his wife Willa; nieces Carol Sanders and Betty Cambell; nephew Bob Meagher; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Lewis will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 23 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
