Ardella Melvin, 72, Greencastle, passed away in her home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ardella was born Sept. 17, 1945 in Greencastle to Everett and Ethel Shepherd, who preceded her in death, as well as a brother, Hollis Shepherd.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Melvin; her children, Debra (David) Wineman, Raymond Campbell, Chris Campbell, Lisa Hall and Robyn Roarks (Howard Hughes); 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Young; and brothers Arvis (Shelley) Shepherd and Leon (Michele) Shepherd.
A short memorial will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at Calvary Chapel, Greencastle, followed by a graveside service at Clinton Falls Cemetery.
