Russell Lee Saathoff Jr.

Russell Lee Saathoff Jr., 59, of Greencastle, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at his residence.

Russell was born in Greencastle on Sept. 14, 1958, the son of Russell Lee Sr., and Loretta June (Thompson) Saathoff.

He was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mr. Saathoff was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Survivors include his mother; a daughter, Amber Hoopingarner (husband Andrew); a son, Donvan Saathoff (wifeValerie); two siblings, Tony Saathoff and Jennifer Maddox (husband Keith); four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A private family service was held at Forest Hill Cemetery on Monday, March 5.
