’80s prom motif set for next museum murder mystery event

A recent poll placed on the Putnam County Museum Facebook page has yielded quite an impressive response.

You have voted, Putnam County, and the museum has listened.

You, the community, want a flashback to ‘80s prom night, filled with fishnets, shoulder pads and enough Aquanet to kill three ozone layers. Check out the event page at www.Facebook.com/PutnamCoMuseum under the tab labeled “Events” to see updates regarding these two Museum Mystery Events.

The next Putnam County Museum murder mystery event will be “A Totally Rad Murder at the ‘80s Prom.” Relive those high school memories filled with Brat Pack-inspired teenage angst and all of the hair teasing and crimping you can handle.

There will be bodacious refreshments served before and during the event, one gnarly murdered dude and -- no duh -- a killer on the loose.

Don’t be a dweeb and wait for like ever to get your tickets. These things are going for the price of those coming stag (1) $45, and the moolah for happenin’ couples $80, make sure you come dressed to impress. It is like, prom night, duh!

This will be a two-night event. The first running of the event will be on Friday, June 22 with doors opening at 6 p.m. and refreshments served at 6:30. The second will be on June 23, again with doors opening at 6 p.m. and refreshments served at 6:30. Both events to be staged at the Putnam County Museum.

To reserve and purchase tickets, contact Megan at the Putnam County Museum at 653-8419 or come in at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

These events are a pair of many to come at the Putnam County Museum. Its last mystery event was “Murder in Wonderland” and the sleuths and murderers spent the evening in a madness-filled Wonderland mystery.
