BAINBRIDGE -- April 21 is the opening date for the 2018 season at Hope’s Way Recreation Center for children with special needs and their families.

Hope’s Way is a 26-acre ranch located just east of Bainbridge. For the last 17 years, Hope’s Way has provided free recreation for families from over 16 counties.

Activities include a free picnic lunch, playground, horse and pony rides, hay rides, stagecoach rides and tours of its western town.

A free Teddy Bear Picnic is scheduled every third Saturday of each month from April to October. Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. with activities following.

Activities are open to all families with children who have special needs, which includes children with physical, mental or emotional challenges. There is no age limit. All family members are welcome.

This season Hope’s Way’s grounds also will be available for outdoor and indoor country weddings. Income from these weddings will help fund activities at Hope’s Way.

For a small fee, Hope’s Way is also available for private birthday parties, youth group activities and church parties and school field trips.

Volunteers are welcome. Visit hopeswayinc.org or on Facebook at Hope’s Way Recreation Center. Persons may call 522-5566 for more information.
