Community leaders, childcare providers address community needs

Friday, March 23, 2018

After conducting several needs assessments and meeting with resource agencies, leaders of the Purdue Extension Community Leadership Program conducted a childcare provider dinner for Putnam County Childcare providers.

The dinner equipped childcare providers with the opportunity to learn about pathways to quality, childcare funding opportunities, and additional resources available to them in efforts of extending childcare services. Our hope is to continue the conversation and continuously address needs of individuals in Putnam County to make a difference in lives and livelihoods.

The leaders who complied this dinner were Michael Fidler, Thomas Novak, Craig Tuggle, Georgian Simion, Mark Harbin, Hannah Cline, John Tischer, Lisa Clark, Gretchen Wallace, Elizabeth Butts, Ian Wallace, Vincent Aguirre, Jessie Scott, Samantha Sarich, Erin Sprinkle and Christina Krouse.

The Purdue Extension Community Leadership program is designed to empower individuals who want to make a difference in their community.

Consisting of 11 sessions, participants will explore various topics that enhance professional development, personal growth and community engagement.

Session topics include: Nature of leadership, Myers-Briggs Indicator Training, inter-personal communication, personal diversity, becoming a conflict competent leader and more.
