The vehicle was towed. Deputy Riley Houghton estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, Macy L. Brinkman, 18, Brazil, was westbound on U.S. 40 in a 2008 Jeep Liberty when she apparently fell asleep.

She told Deputy Robert Soilleux she remembered "feeling like the vehicle was about to tip over and I had to steer." Brinkman said she heard the bang and that woke her up.

Soilleux said it appeared by marks in the snow that the vehicle ran off the north side and drove along the ditch until it hit a mailbox and some tree branches before sharply turning south. The vehicle then spun out of control and came to rest.

Brinkman said she had a bad headache and some chest pain but refused medical aid. Her grandfather was on scene and said he would drive her to the hospital.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 9:06 p.m. on Saturday, Joshua M. Pritchett, 22, Wingate, was westbound on State Road 240 in a 2007 Dodge Dakota when his right tire went off the road.

The snow and slush pulled his vehicle the rest of the way into the ditch, where he collided with a culvert.

The vehicle was towed. Deputy Houghton estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 6:55 p.m. on Saturday, Joseph W. Myers, 29, Greencastle, was westbound on State Road 240 in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix when he lost control on the slippery roadway and lost control.

* At 6:19 p.m. on Saturday, Theresa A. Soilleux, 63, Ellettsville, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2006 Toyota Tundra.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 6 p.m. on Saturday, Justin J. Shofner, 35, Greencastle, was northbound on U.S. 231 just north of U.S. 40 in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata.

To avoid a head-on collision, Giles turned right into the ditch, where it continued forward until it hit a tree.

A second vehicle was westbound behind Giles' truck. In order to avoid a crash, this driver went left and wound up in the ditch on the other side. However, this driver refused a crash report due to only a mirror being broken.

No one reported injuries.

Giles' vehicle had to be towed.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

The vehicle continued, hitting another power pole and coming to a stop in a yard. The incident caused minimal damage to the front yard.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
