Tony R. Spencer, 54, of Russellville, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018.

He was born on June 3, 1963 in Crawfordsville to the late Charles Spencer, and surviving Norma Jean (Wiatt) Gross.

Tony graduated from Southmont High School in 1982. He became a truck driver and drove a semi for more than 30 years.

When he wasn't working he enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling, hunting, bowling, going to auctions and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.

Tony was an inspiration to a lot of people who knew his struggle with his health condition. He was always a hard worker, very witty, never to have known a stranger.

He attended Russellville Community Christian Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Savannah Spencer and significant other (Ron Flaurr), Crawfordsville; granddaughter Teagan Spencer, Crawfordsville; his mother, Norma Jean Gross, Russellville; brother Chuck Spencer, Russellville; nephew C.J. (Emily) Spencer, Russellville; stepsisters, Linda (Gary) McGee, Greenwood, and Peg (Steve) Ferguson, Rockville; three aunts, four uncles and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Spencer; grandmother Margaret Spencer; grandparents Leo and Freeda Wiatt, and stepfather, Andy Gross.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 30 at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, 301 E. Green St., Waveland, with Pastor Alan Small officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 29 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
