Perseverance Pays

For exhibiting perseverance, Greencastle High School students Keegan Caveness (second from left) and Allyson Jarrett are the Character Education Program winners for March at GHS. Caveness and Jarrett were among 22 Student Star candidates nominated for the monthly honor by GHS teachers and staff. Presenting them with $25 checks for demonstrating to the rest of the student body -- through their words and actions -- what it means to persevere are GHS Assistant Principal Jennifer Finnerty (left) and Character Education Program co-sponsor Lisa Duggan. The $25 monthly award is funded by Balfour, which provides graduation items, including caps and gowns, to GHS.
