County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

• At 2:11 a.m. Jennifer Michele Kincaid, 42, Seymour, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 9:53 p.m. Shaun Patrick Perkins, 38, Greencastle, was taken into custody as a habitual felony offender.

• At 8:29 p.m. Elijah James Robinson, 19, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 7:13 p.m. Ashley DeAnn Karish, 34, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 1:31 p.m. Damni Latrell Edmonds, 24, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail for possession of a firearm without a permit.

City Police

One citation was issued recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 4:01 p.m. Monday, Tevin Autry, 22, Plainfield, was ticketed by Officer Kyle Lee after being stopped on Main Street near its intersection with Bloomington Street in the city’s South End.

Autry was cited for an infraction of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated a pair of recent crashes.

• At 8:14 p.m. on Monday, Hannah Williams, 18, Cloverdale, was southbound on Meridian Line Road in a 2008 Pontiac G6. She started drifting right toward a mailbox then turned back left.

She oversteered and started sliding sideways, hitting a tree.

Deputy Tanner Brown reported that Williams hit her head on the side window but refused medical aid.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

• At 12:21 a.m. on Friday, Amanda M. Smith, 23, Lansing, Mich., was westbound on Interstate 70 in a 2009 Chevrolet Impala when she hit a deer.

Deputy Riley Houghton estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.
