Over and Out

Ending a 31-year career with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Capt. Danny Wallace signs off the radio for the final time at the end of his Monday shift, with son-in-law and fellow Deputy Josh Boller in the passenger seat. Sheriff Scott Stockton presented Wallace with his retirement identification as well as a plaque citing the oath of office he took years ago, vowing to serve the citizens of Putnam County. “Danny has always been a devoted officer for our Department and will leave a large void here,” Stockton said. Besides his time with PCSD, Wallace served several years with other law enforcement agencies as well as eight years in the United States Air Force law enforcement unit. “We will miss his dedicated years of service to PCSD and to the citizens of Putnam County given his hard work, loyalty and dedication to duty,” Stockton said, “as well as his unique vocabulary of ‘Dannyisms.’” Finally, Stockton and other department personnel wished Wallace “the very best in his future endeavors for a well-deserved retirement.”

  • Thank you Danny for your service. You are a good man in uniform and out of uniform, may you be blessed in your future endeavors.
