Conner Taylor added a 37 for the winners, while Blaise Hasty added a 39, Jaxon Parmley had a 42, Kyle Tesmer and Benton Parmley each had a 44 and Josh Bomgardner shot a 49.

“This was a very competitive match,” GHS coach Steve Paquin said. “The ones and twos had a score of 72 for the Knights and 68 for the Cubs. All the players hit many good shots, but struggled on the slow-paced greens.

“Sometimes it’s easier to putt fast greens than slow greens, as you don’t have to putt harder on fast greens.”

The Tiger Cubs are 3-0 in invitational meets this year and 8-0 in dual and triangular meets.

“There are still areas of improvement this team needs to work on, such as greens in regulation, fairways hit and number of putts per round,” Paquin added. “This gives us room to get better and put up scores that are competitive with the more talented teams in the area.”
