Residents are invited to join local author Beth Benedix for an author’s talk, book sale and signing on Thursday, May 24 at the Putnam County Public Library.

The free program will begin at 7 p.m. at PCPL, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.

Benedix also participated in this month’s PCPL Book Club with the group reading “Ghost Writer” for its May 14 meeting with Benedix in attendance.

Benedix is a professor of world literature, religious studies and community engagement at DePauw University.

She is also founder and director of The Castle (www.castlearts.org), a non-profit organization that provides integrated-arts and project-based workshops in Putnam County public schools.
