SPORTS BRIEFS: Eagles set dates for hoop camps

South Putnam will have its summer youth boys’ basketball camp during the first two full weeks in June.

The camp will run from June 4-7 and June 11-14, with students entering grades 2-5 next fall going from 9 to 10 a.m. and students entering grades 6-8 having camp from 10 to 11:15 a.m.

All sessions will be in Central Elementary Gyms, and the camp is directed by the high school coaching staff and players.

Cost is $40 per camper, or $35 per camper for multi-camper families. Registration forms are available in the high school main office. Checks should be made payable to “South Putnam Boys’ Basketball Boosters.”

Each camper receives a camp T-shirt and ball. Pre-registration is recommended, but first day walk-in registrations are accepted (although campers will not get their shirt and ball until the second week.)
