Ronald Keith Pettit

Ronald Keith Pettit, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Born May 11, 1942 in Putnam County, he was the son of Harold and Mary (Goodman) Pettit.

Ron retired from Bridgeport Brass, where he had worked as a machinist.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a former member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his life partner, Carol; sons John (wife Jenni) McGaughey and Larry (wife Gina) McGaughey; beloved niece Amanda Manley; grandchildren, Johnathan, Josh, Jordi, Josie and Owen McGaughey; great-grandson Aiden; great nieces and nephew, Justice, Brayle, Alona and Zaden; brothers, William "Billy" and Richard Pettit; sisters-in-law, Telethia and Frieda Pettit; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David "Butch" and Bobby and sister, Phyllis.

Graveside services were held at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, was entrusted with the arrangements.
