Auditions set this weekend for Putnam County Star

Auditions for the sixth annual Putnam County Star competition are set for this weekend at Harris Hall on the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

While the competition itself will take place for two nights during the Putnam County Fair, auditions and rehearsals start much sooner.

Any singers age 13 and above are invited to audition either from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 9 or from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 10.

Participants are asked to come with two audition songs.

There is a $500 grand prize for the winner of the contest.
