New North Putnam superintendent to be named Monday

Thursday, June 7, 2018

BAINBRIDGE — The North Putnam School Board is set to name the school’s new superintendent in a special session on Monday, June 11.

The special public meeting will take place at the school administrative office, 300 N. Washington St., Bainbridge.

Officially, the reason for the meeting is “considering superintendent’s contract,” but the new superintendent should be in attendance, School Board president Ron Spencer confirmed for the Banner Graphic.

No other item is likely to be on the agenda.

The school corporation previously advertised the superintendent’s contract in advance of a June 4 public hearing on the contract.

The school board began its search for a new superintendent in January after Dan Noel announced he was not renewing his contract.

In early May, Noel accepted the superintendent’s position at Shakamak in Greene County.
