Greencastle emergency vehicles highlight Second Saturday event on East Franklin

Thursday, June 7, 2018

Everyone has his or her favorite cars and trucks, but for kids there’s almost a universal love for a certain type of vehicle — anything with flashing lights.

Second Saturday festivities in downtown Greencastle will feature a car show for kids with Greencastle fire and police vehicles on hand.

Climb inside a fire truck. Tour a police officer’s car. Families are invited out for an evening of entertainment right in the heart of downtown Greencastle.

Kids are invited to bring their own cardboard box cars to watch the movie.

With another event going on downtown, the June 9 event will be on East Franklin Street, right outside of Dick’s Barber Shop, Myers’ 5 East and Jerry’s Foreign Auto.

Again sponsored by the Greencastle Presbyterian Church and Big Bounce Fun House Rentals, the June event begins at 7:30 p.m. with the movie at 9.

This month the movie will be featuring a mighty little “bug” full of hijinks and headlights that wink.
