Karl Lee Edwards

Karl Lee Edwards, 39, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1978, in Terre Haute to Timothy and Cheryl (Wilson) Edwards.

Karl graduated from North Putnam High School in 1997.

In 2000, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Karl served a tour in Okinawa, Japan; three tours in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan.

His daughter, Bridgette was his pride and joy. Karl loved to go fishing with Bridgette.

He was the best son, father, cousin and friend that anyone could have ever asked for. He would do anything for anyone. He will be truly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Karl is survived by his daughter, Bridgette Edwards of Cloverdale; his parents, Tim and Cheryl Edwards of Bainbridge; grandfather Robert Edwards; aunts Rhonda West, Tracy Williams, Juanita Gomolisky, Brenda Bullock and Evelyn Wilson; uncles Donald Wilson and Kirt West; cousins Misty Woods (Jason), Mandy Rudisel, Keith Rudisel, Lindsay Morgan (Brad), Timothy Rudisel (Jayme), Nichole Williams, Josie West, Christina Edwards, Jaime Septh, Jesse Gomolisky, Jason Gomolisky, Paul Bullock Jr., Jay Bullock, April Wilson, Donald Wilson, Joey Wilson, Jason Wilson and Lisa Wilson; best friend Jacob Harvey (Meghan and Jaxon); many other cousins and relatives; and last, but not least, his beloved German Shepherd, Gunny.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Edwards, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.

Karl will be laid to rest at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bridgette K. Edwards Fund at PNC Bank in Greencastle.
