WVFCA all-star game set for Saturday

Eleven recent Putnam County graduates will be competing tonight in the Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association All-Star Game

The game will be played at Indiana State’s Memorial Stadium, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Competing will be North Putnam’s Ethan Christy, Gage Bell and Hayden Rudes, Greencastle’s Cade Winslow, Jacob Meyer and Brayden Bollman, South Putnam’s Porter High and Christian Zeffel and Cloverdale’s Tyce Jackson, Nick Winders and T.J. Hagymasi.

The Cloverdale, Greencastle and South Putnam players will be competing on the Black Division team, along with players from Casey-Westfield, Marshall, Mattoon, North Vermillion, Oblong, Olney, Owen Valley, Palestine-Hutsonville, Paris, Red Hill, Robinson, South Vermillion, Terre Haute South and West Vigo.

Greencastle’s Mike Meyer is an assistant coach for the Black Division team.

The North Putnam grads will be on the Gold Division team, along with players from Cumberland, Eastern Greene, Edgewood, Linton-Stockton, Newton, North Central, Northview, Riverton Parke, Rockville, Sullivan, Terre Haute North, Tri-County, Turkey Run and Vincennes Lincoln.
