Coming Full Circle

Monday, June 25, 2018
To celebrate its 120-year anniversary, the Tuesday Reading Circle has presented gifts to the Putnam County Community Foundation for the Putnam County Museum building fund and to the Putnam County Library for the Imagination Library effort. On hand for the Tuesday Reading Circle’s recent gift to the Putnam County Foundation are (from left) Judy George, Kathy Sanders, Elaine Peck, Sarah Pride, Murray Pride, Margaret Kenton and Jordan Vaughn. Tuesday Reading Circle, begun in 1898, is believed to be the second oldest existing women’s club in Greencastle. The group was formed with the purpose of providing a circle of friends with a monthly meeting to share cultural and intellectual interests. The circle’s 20 members enjoy presentation of topics related to books, biographical profiles and travel.
