ROACHDALE — In a manner that was swift and without any opposition, the Roachdale Town Council approved the appointment of Adrian Lepine as its new town marshal Monday evening.

He will replace veteran Marshal Mike Mahoy, who is stepping down from his town job to take a job with a private business.

Lepine, a native of Danville, has been involved in security and law enforcement prior to coming to Roachdale. From 2007 until 2015, he worked in security for the IU Health Police Department.

In December of 2015, Lepine graduated from the Tier II program of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, which is designed for agencies which make occasional arrests.

Lepine came to the Roachdale Police Department in February of 2016, and has previously served as RPD’s training officer.

He will begin his duties as town marshal on June 29.

The appointment of Lepine was one of only three items on the agenda in a meeting that spanned three minutes.

The town council also approved a salary update ordinance, as well as the appointment of Lepine to the Roachdale Plan Comission, which streamlines zoning in the town.

The Roachdale Town Council will meet next on July 10 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room.
