County Jail

Twenty-six people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 2:07 a.m. Tyler Patrick Kuras, 27, Russellville, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:43 a.m. Cory Allen Rhim, 24, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 12:46 a.m. Jaycob Levi Bosque, 24, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 12:46 am. Geoffrey Steven Pierce, 45, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

Wednesday

• At 11:38 p.m. Erik David Wilburn, 31, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a Hendricks County warrant.

• At 10:54 p.m. William Ray Gilmore, 59, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 9:36 p.m. Courtney Lee Hoff, 21, Spencer, was housed at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 9:17 p.m. Kristopher Marc Hardy, 35, Greencastle, was booked in for burglary, auto theft, resisting law enforcement, possession of a handgun by a felon and possession of methamphetamine.

• At 6:08 p.m. Jonathan Nicholes Voelker, 28, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for neglect of a dependent and public intoxication.

• At 2:36 p.m. Icis Lynn Gootee, 22, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 11:10 a.m. Hunter Joseph Mitchell, 22, Brownsburg, was housed at the jail on a Johnson County warrant.

• At 3:06 a.m. Tony Allen Williams, 55, Cloverdale, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 12:01 a.m. Brandon Scott Workman, 19, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction and possession of marijuana.

Tuesday

• At 8:09 p.m. Jerrod Lee Bridges, 22, Roachdale, was housed at the jail for battery with bodily injury.

• At 2:58 p.m. Amanda Kay Smiley, 29, Reelsville, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 2:27 p.m. James M. Short, 62, homeless, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:39 p.m. Jessica Delanie Collins, 30, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for domestic battery, neglect of a dependent and possession of marijuana.

• At 1:09 p.m. Charles Edward Collins, 34, Cloverdale, was booked in for domestic battery, neglect of a dependent and possession of marijuana.

• At 8:36 a.m. Tabitha Marie Zook, 30, Franklin, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 8:24 a.m. Chris Lee Hutto, 40, Fillmore, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 5:03 a.m. Timothy O’Neill McKenna, 42, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of methamphetamine.

Monday

• At 2:42 p.m. Eleazar Ismael Ramirez Lopez, 29, Indianapolis, was booked in for driving without every receiving a license.

• At 1:52 p.m. Carl Justin Allen, 43, Bainbridge, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant and a writ of body attachment.

• At 10:27 a.m. Anthony Keith McDonald, 32, Cloverdale, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 10:05 a.m. Kellie Jo James, 47, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 10:04 a.m. Dustin Eugene Henry, 36, Martinsville, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 2:21 a.m. Wednesday, Jerel Derrick Mosley, 29, Greencastle, was arrested at an Avenue C residence by Officer Luke Brown.

Taken into custody on a Department of Correction warrants for parole violation, Mosley was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 8:02 p.m. Tuesday, Nicole Marie Allen, 26, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Brown at the Goodwill store, 1021 Indianapolis Rd.

Allen was booked into the Putnam County Jail on a local warrant for theft.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated four recent property-damage accidents.

• At 6:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Mark Johnson, 19, Cloverdale, was southbound on State Road 243 in a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Johnson told Deputy Tanner Brown he met a northbound vehicle that came into his lane so he swerved right, off the road. Johnson said he then oversteered back to the left, losing control of the vehicle and leaving the other side of the road.

The car was towed. Damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

• At 12:54 a.m. on Wednesday, Jodi M. Dixon, 38, Roachdale, was northbound on County Road 250 East near County Road 800 North in a 2010 Dodge Caliber when she traveled off the road.

The vehicle went into a ditch and hit a utility pole. Deputy Jeffery Freeman reported that the pole suffered severe damage, requiring immediate attention.

The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top.

Dixon initially fled the scene but later returned. She was evaluated and declined EMS assistance.

Dixon tested at .185 BAC on a portable breath test, so she was taken to Putnam County Hospital for a blood draw. She tested at .206 percent as well as a positive test for marijuana.

Dixon was booked in the Putnam County Jail at 3:56 a.m. on the charge of driving while intoxicated.

Damage was estimated at $25,000-$50,000.

• At 12:22 a.m. on Wednesday, Robert L. Williams, 46, Bainbridge, was westbound on State Road 236 near County Road 50 East in a 2004 Dodge Dakota when he hit a deer.

Deputy Freeman estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000. The vehicle had to be towed due to moderate front-end damage.

• At 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday, Anna M. Schimmoller, 68, Indianapolis, was westbound on U.S. 36 in a 2012 Ford Escape when she hit a deer.

Schimmoller complained of wrist pain and was treated at the scene by Operation Life. She then signed a statement of release.

The vehicle had to be towed. Deputy Brian Helmer estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five recent dispatches:

•At 9:08 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 208 N. Madison St. for an unauthorized burn. Firefighters arrived at 9:14 p.m. and approved what was a recreational fire.

They left the scene at 9:18 p.m.

•At 4:21 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 401 S. CR 150 North for power lines down on the roadway and a driveway. Units arrived at 4:27 a.m. and found no fire or injuries.

They cleared the scene at 5:05 a.m.

•At 4:49 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 420 Anderson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:53 p.m. and found the alarm was due to cooking.

They reset the alarm and cleared the scene at 5:04 p.m.

•At 7:36 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 602 S. College Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:44 p.m. and found the alarm was set off due to faulty wiring.

They left the scene at 7:52 p.m.

•At 10:13 a.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 6293 S. U.S. 231 to assist Cloverdale Fire Department with a structure fire. Firefighters arrived at 10:18 a.m. and assisted with putting out the fire.

They left the scene at 12:46 p.m.

GFD also performed six medical assists and had one run disregarded during this time.
