FreDona Barnes Barnett Zollman, 92, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1925 in Switzerland County, Ind., the daughter of Floyd and Lela (Bliton) Barnes.

FreDona was a 1943 graduate of Logansport High School.

She married George Barnett, on May 30, 1946, in Newport, Ark.

FreDona was the first lady of the very first full-time mayor of Greensburg. Together, George and FreDona raised two children, G. Alan and Judith.

FreDona worked as a housewife and secretary.

Her husband George preceded her in death in 1975.

FreDona was a member of Tri Kappa and the Seymour United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed dancing, playing bridge, cooking, traveling and spending time with family.

In March 1991, she married Robert L. Zollman, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Survivors include son, G. Alan Barnett of French Lick, and daughter, Judith (Jeff) Lyn Blaydes of Coatesville; brothers, Larry Deane Shepard and Tom Shepard; grandchildren, Jennifer (Billy) Shipman, Michael A. Barnett, Laura Blaydes and Brian Blaydes; great-grandchildren, Harley, Bella and Dylan Shipman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and brother Kenneth Shepard Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, 110 E. North St., Greensburg, on Tuesday, July 17 at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Dawn Barnes will be officiating.

Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
