Alice Plemons

Alice (Vanhook) Plemons, 83 of Greencastle, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Putnam County Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 1, 1935 in Waveland to the late Howard and Frances (Branson) Vanhook.

She was previously married to Gene Woods, George Chism and most recently William Plemons.

Alice worked as a waitress for a number of years at different restaurants.

She is survived by her children Beverly (Bob) Thacker and Dwayne (Shelly) Woods; grandchildren Zoey, Ben, Timothy, Richard, Nick and Rachell; great-grandchildren Sabrina, Lilly, Jack and Phillip; and great-great-grandchildren Athina, Annabel, Tyler and Elina. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Elva Vanhook; and niece Debbie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Gene and George; sons Larry and David Woods; great-grandson Jessy; great-great-grandson Christian; brothers Richard and Eugene and great-nephew Nathan.

There will be a graveside service held for Alice at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17 at the Hebron Cemetery, Russellville, with Pastor Alan Small officiating.
