County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday

• At 5:22 p.m. Robert Lee Jones, 39, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on two local warrants for possession of methamphetamine and domestic battery.

• At 4:56 p.m. Franklin Delnor Roosevelt Boehm Jr., 45, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 2:26 p.m. Quinton Bradley Taylor, 23, Martinsville, was housed at the jail on a Morgan County warrant.

• At 2:22 p.m. Steven Lee Cazee, 36, Spencer, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 10:08 a.m. Shawn Michael Passwater, 32, Shelburn, was lodged at the jail on a Morgan County warrant for counterfeiting.

County Jail

Two recent citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

•At 7:35 p.m. Thursday, Elizabeth Monnett, 21, Paragon, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Brad Hiatt.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road, Monnett was cited for 64 mph in a 40-mph zone.

•At 10:31 p.m. Thursday, Nicole McFadden, 34, Brazil, was cited by Officer Hiatt.

McFadden was stopped on Indianapolis Road for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to 11 recent dispatches:

•At 5:37 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle fire at 2835 S. CR 275 East. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5:51 and extinguished the fire, as well as performed debris cleanup.

They left the scene at 7:32 a.m.

•At 11:12 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 508 S. Indiana St. for a fire alarm. They arrived at 11:15 and found it was a false alarm.

They left at 11:20 a.m.

•At 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries located at 430 W. County Road 200 North. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 3:07 p.m. and assisted with caring for the victim and debris cleanup.

They then left at 4:11 p.m.

•At 4:39 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 904 S. College Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:43 and found that it was a false alarm due to cleaning. The alarm was then reset.

They left at 4:47 p.m.

•At 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. GFD was dispatched to 507 S. Locust St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:33 and found that the alarm was not sounding when units arrived and had malfunctioned.

They left at 8:42 p.m.

•At 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to Tractor Supply Co. for reported smoke odor. Firefighters arrived at 12:38 and found that the HVAC system had blown odor from the previous fire earlier that morning.

They left at 1:09 p.m.

•Three dispatches were sent to 330 Greenwood Ave. on Friday:

•At 1:34 a.m., GFD was dispatched for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 1:40 and could not find a fire. They then reset the alarm.

They left the scene at 1:52 a.m.

•At 4:18 a.m., GFD was dispatched there for another fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:24 and did not find a fire source. They then cleaned and reset the alarm again.

They then left at 4:38 a.m.

•At 11:37 a.m., GFD was dispatched there for another fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:42 and once again found no fire source. They then reset the alarm.

They left at 11:57 a.m.

•At 10:15 a.m. on Friday, GFD received a good-intent call for a downed tree at 124 N. Jackson St. Units arrived at 10:18 and cleared debris from the roadway.

They cleared the scene at 10:23 a.m.

•At 10:29 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Fresenius Kidney Care for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:37 and found that the alarm was only being tested.

They cleared the scene at 10:46 a.m.

Additionally, GFD had one disregard following these dispatches.
