Wednesday, August 8, 2018

This Saturday, Aug. 11 "Kindermusik at DePauw" invites the public to an open house from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at M2, the Music on the Square location, 21 N. Indiana St., Greencastle.

Pamalee Smith, known as "Teacher Pam" to her students and their parents, will celebrate her 25th anniversary of teaching Kindermusik in Greencastle.

Kindermusik is the world's leading provider of music-based education for children from birth through age seven. By using the power and joy of music making, children learn and grow during the years most critical to brain development.

Coincidentally, Kindermusik is celebrating its 40th Anniversary. Since 1978, Kindermusik has helped millions of children around the world build a strong foundation for a lifetime love of learning.

Smith, a graduate of the DePauw School of Music, became a licensed Kindermusik educator so she could have classes for her daughter, Ashley. Many of her students have gone on to succeed both musically and academically. The list includes valedictorians, Lilly Scholars and musicians who participate in local theatrical performances.

People interested in learning more about Kindermusik are invited for refreshments, activities and information. Teacher Pam also invites Kindermusik alumni to stop by and say hello. For more information, persons may contact Pamalee Smith at 653-4273 or write to pfsmith@cinergymetro.net.
