Reelsville VFD breakfast to help families in need

REELSVILLE — Normally a fundraiser for department needs, this month’s monthly breakfast at the Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will go to another important cause.

All proceeds raised by the department during the 7-11 a.m. breakfast this Saturday will got to two current members and one fellow member’s family who have fallen on hard times due to medical problems.

The department is inviting the community to come and help support these families in their times of need. All free will donations will be split three ways to assist each family in paying for gas money for frequent hospital and doctor visits or to assist them with other bills.

This month, the menu will include homemade gravy with biscuits, bacon, sausage, pancakes and eggs cooked to order.

The public is invited to come out and support these members who still are responding to runs to help those in need despite the issues that they are dealing with in their personal lives.
