A pair of traumatic injuries left local emergency responders scrambling Thursday evening after 9 p.m.

Medical helicopters were called to the area of Old Hickory Golf Course on U.S. 231 North as well as Groveland on U.S. 36 East.

According to reports on the police scanner, the incident north of Old Hickory was a farm incident involving a subject trapped underneath a piece of equipment.

The call initially came in as an amputation of the arm, though authorities arrived to find serious injuries, but no amputation.

The Groveland incident was called in as a stabbing at the BP station.

More details will be provided when they become available.

  • Well now that Operation Life only staffs two ambulances for the ENTIRE county, you can count on seeing helicopters called more and more frequently. Especially whenever they can’t transport to the local hospital.

Which at $20,000+ a flight, I hope we all have great insurance.
