County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday

• At 9:25 p.m. Jeramiah Laman Reed, 31, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:41 p.m. Nicole Grey Vogel, 31, Bainbridge, was booked in on a court order.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

•At 11:39 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 409 S. Jackson St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 11:45 and determined that the alarm was due to burnt popcorn. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 11:54 p.m.

•At 10:49 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was called for an unauthorized burn at 608 Primrose Lane Units arrived at 10:54 and found that there was a brush fire occurring at the home. The homeowners were not present, and the fire was extinguished.

GFD left at 111:14 a.m.

•At 1:56 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, 504 E. Seminary St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2 p.m. and determined from the occupants’ reports that refrigerant had leaked when they were trying to move a refrigerator. The alarm was then reset.

GFD left at 2:08 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed four medical assists and had one disregard during this time.
