Otis Max Martin

Otis Max Martin, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Otis was born in Parke County on Dec. 11, 1934, the son of Jesse O. and Eva M. (Bales) Martin, and was a graduate of 1954 Bainbridge High School.

Mr. Martin owned a grocery store, worked at Limedale Stone Query, Manhattan Ditching and worked farming on the side.

He was a long-time member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Martin; a stepdaughter Rebecca Marshall (husband Walter); three stepsons, Mark Stimer (wife Anna) and family, Brent Stimer and family, and Steve Stimer; two sisters, Betty Snodgrass and Elsie Padgett; a brother, Everett Martin (wife Jackie); a step-grandson, Charles Marshall; a step-granddaughter, Miranda Vinyl, (Jesse); several nieces and nephews; his loving church family; and his big fat cat, Kitty Boy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lee Martin.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Little Walnut Cemetery with Pastor Frank Brasel officiating.
