Monday, September 24, 2018

ROACHDALE -- The Roachdale Revitalization Cooperative Alliance (RRCA) and the town of Roachdale are gearing up for the fifth annual Rib & Blues Fest on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The gates will open at noon on the north side along Railroad Street, and the music will begin at 2 p.m. with The Fret Set. The swing will continue with the Rolle/St. Pierre Band at 4:15 p.m., and will finish off with the Forest Gras Band at 6:45 p.m.

A highlight of the festival, a rib competition judged by local celebrities will begin at 6 p.m. Wasser Brewing Company will have its hand-crafted beer on tap for the event. A beer and wine garden will also provide refreshments.

An antique farm machinery show will continue through the festivities.

The teams competing in the Indiana Film Race will also be on hand after 5 p.m. to mingle with the crowd, and a “behind the scenes” film crew will be there catching all of the action.

Admission to the event is free, but donations are appreciated. More information on the festival can be found on the RRCA’s Facebook page. For more on the Indiana Film Race, check out FILM 765’s Instagram content with the handle indiana.film765.
