On the heels of Friday’s huge 29-28 win at Sullivan, Greencastle’s football team has been voted in a tie for 11th place in the Class 3A state rankings this week by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

The 6-0 Tiger Cubs received six points this week, the first time all season they received votes.

Sullivan had been ranked 15th in last week’s Associated Press poll, but was unranked by the IFCA. This week’s AP poll comes out today.

Individually, Greencastle senior Damon Moody continues to shine on both sides of the ball.

Moody leads the state in sacks with 11 after getting two more in the win at Sullivan. Teammate Gavin Bollman is 13th with seven sacks, while Cloverdale’s Jake Wilkes is 19th with six.

Rushing-wise, Moody ranks 10th in the state with 1,109 yards.

Greencastle’s Alex Costin is tied for seventh place in interceptions with four.

The Tiger Cubs will face their biggest challenge of the year to date on Friday as they host IFCA Class 4A No. 13 Northview for the West Division championship of the Western Indiana Conference.
