GPD, PCH partnering again for annual car seat clinic Tuesday

Friday, September 28, 2018

The Greencastle Police Department (GPD) will conduct its annual Car Seat Clinic Tuesday, Oct. 2 as part of the department’s Permanent Fitting Station Program.

GPD is again partnering with Putnam County Hospital for the event.

The Car Seat Clinic will be conducted from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The clinic will be set up just outside the Surgery Department, north of the main drive coming into the hospital off U.S. 231 south of Greencastle.

The free clinic is open to any Putnam County residents who would like to have their current car seat inspected by a certified car seat technician.

Clinic organizers will have several different sizes of car seats on hand, so that a technician can install a new seat if the current car seat needs to be replaced for being broken or expired, because the child has outgrown his or her current seat or because the current seat has a recall or is on the recall list.

If anyone has any questions regarding the upcoming event they can call GPD at 653-2925.
