Christine Louise Lane

Christine Louise Lane, 80, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018.

She was born June 6, 1938 in Wilkinsburg, Pa., to Frederick and Christine (Taylor) Maughan.

Chris enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dogs, Missy and Maggie. She so enjoyed coffee on her porch while watching the birds.

Chris especially loved cooking and baking for friends and family as well as spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Ken) White, Greencastle, Larry (Cindy) Simpson, Cloverdale, David (Sheila) Simpson, Rushville, and Lori Hoffman, Chambersburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lorraine Defazio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas P. Lane, and brother, Freddy Maughan.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time.
