Cubs draw Lebanon at Southmont; Clovers, North to battle at Monrovia

The Indiana High School Athletic Association drew pairings for the upcoming sectional volleyball tournaments, which begin on Oct. 9.

Greencastle will play the first match at Southmont on Thursday, Oct. 11, against Lebanon. The Tiger Cubs are the defending champions of the Class 3A tourney, which was played at Crawfordsville last year.

The Tiger Cubs have a 16-6 record, while Lebanon is 9-11.

Benton Central, which plays the Lebanon-Greencastle winner, has the best record in the field at 23-7.

At Monrovia, Cloverdale and North Putnam will open the Class 2A sectional won by Covenant Christian last year.

The winner of Cloverdale-North Putnam will play South Putnam in the semifinals.
